Dessert-ed at Yauatcha

Yauatcha, a renowned Michelin starred restaurant in London has blessed Bangalore with a beautiful restaurant on the 4th floor-1 MG Mall. To know more about the restaurant, read my earlier post on the Launch of Yauatcha Terrace.

So today, while indulging in some pre-weekend shopping at 1 MG Mall and craving for something to satisfy my sweet tooth. Having heard soo much about the desserts at Yauatcha and seen some beautifully plated pictures of the same. I took my mom here to give it a shot.

We sat down at the long restaurant, and I mean it, it’s very elegantly done up, but considering how long it is, reminds me of a dorm. They have some really interesting dessert options, the Raspberry delice is a dish inspired by the menu at Yauatcha London, but we were in the mood for chocolate, so we settled for the Milk Chocolate Praline.

The dish was brought to our table and we just admired this beauty, the plating was straight out of a Masterchef kitchen. It took sometime for us to finally break through this beautifully plated dish to taste something which was just as beautiful. The light and refreshing lemon sorbet paired really well with the heavy chocolate mousse, all wrapped up in a beautiful layer of bitter chocolate.

I have pretty much tried everything else on their menu at the Yauatcha Terrace Launch event. The below items being my favorite – Lalu (lychee infused, lemingrass cocktail) , Pumpkin Prawns, their range of dimsums.

Overall a great place that serves some mouthwatering dishes and definitely lives up to it’s Michelin fame. Sometimes you should just relax and head here for some dessert rather than a whole meal.
