Welcome to pizza paradise. If you’re a pizza lover, then this is the place to be. They have an amazing array of pizzas to choose from and the desserts here are small bites of heaven.
Located above the People store on CMH Road, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find. Onesta is on the third floor and it’s rather huge compared to their outlet in Koramangala. The ambiance has got a lovely al fresco feel to it, with the wind blowing in your face and the aroma of freshly baked pizza tingling in the air.
I was accompanied by my friend Sandra for a tasting at the Indranagar branch and we had a wonderful time trying their offerings. We started off with a quick round of drinks, I decided to go for the refreshing Orange Mint Cooler and we also ordered a Peach Ice Tea.
The cooler was great, but I found the ice tea to be a tad bit too sweet, I’m guessing they went overboard with the peach syrup. For starters we tried the Sun-dried Tomato Bruschetta and being recovering bacon addict that I am, we also decided to go for a portion of Bacon Wrapped Prawns.
On our Italian culinary journey, we decided to try the Lasagne and Ravioli before venturing into the Pizza district. I absolutely loved their Four Cheese Mushroom and Ricotta Ravioli, full of cheesy goodness and the pasta was cooked to perfection.
We also tried the Minced Chicken Lasange, which unlike the former was quite dry and lacked that saucy texture.
Next stop, we decided to gorge on some of their signature pizzas. We tried the Seafood Pizza, which was alright, but for me pineapple and seafood is a big no no, so I didn’t quite enjoy it. I guess it’s more of a personal preference as well, I will take all responsibility for not reading the ingredients.
But if you’re a pineapple lover, then you should definitely give it a shot. Our second choice was one of the best, the Onion, Bacon and Arugula Pizza. I loved the flavors of the bacon and tomato sauce, it came together really well with the freshly topped arugula leaves. Overall I loved the freshness that this dish brought to the table.
To end our meal on a sweet note, we loaded our plate with their miniature bite sized desserts. My all time favorite is the Caramel Walnut Tart, love this crunchy tart topped with a dollop of cream. I would recommend you try this one.
Another hot favorite is the Chilli Chocolate Tart that comes with a lovely fiery aftertaste, combined with the richness of the chocolate. I’ve noticed that most of their desserts are tart based and after a point, the base tastes very similar.
So to move away from all the tartness, we decided to try the Ricotto Cheesecake and Tiramisu, the former was quite nice, but lacked that glorious creaminess. However, the latter, pick me up dessert was not as desirable as it sounds, for me it lacked the whole essence of the popular Italian delicacy.
Overall, it’s a great place to hangout with friends and gorge of their delicious thin crust pizzas. The prices are very economical and they also have an all you can eat veg and non-veg option that ranges from 350-450, which I think is an absolute steal, provided you go with a hungry tummy.
