Like they say, “Brunch is always a good idea.” What about a delicious Italian and Persian brunch along with a super fun grape stomping session, live music, a balloon artist and even a magician. It’s definitely time to rethink that statement, at The Sheraton Grand Bangalore, brunch is definitely a brilliant idea.
A few weeks ago, I was invited by Sheraton for The Grand Grape Stomping Festival in association with Grover Zamba Vineyards. It was an exclusive afternoon of scrumptious Italian and Persian food from Bene and Persian Terrace with a special grape stomping session.
We started our relaxed Sunday afternoon with a few rounds of bubbly – Zamba Soiree Brut and Brut Rose, followed by some delicious pocket pizzas by Italian chef, Gieuseppe Lioce, head chef at Bene.
We were also treated to a few rounds of freshly baked breads and pizzas, my favorite was the Margherita, oozing with cheesy goodness.
Next stop, we headed to have a look at the live counters, there was a special live pasta counter which dished out plates of gorgonzola cheese filled Ravioli and freshly made Cavatelli, both of which were absolutely fresh and delicious. The live pasta counter was my favorite and it was as authentic as you can get in Bangalore, all the sauces and pasta were freshly made at Bene, the Italian restaurant at Sheraton.
They had other live, kebabs counters, a variety of Italian breads and salads, a delectable spread of desserts.
My favorite being the Tiramisu, well, there is good reason they call it the pick me up dessert. There was also a live gelato counter that took everyone by surprise.
Our lunch at Sheraton was interspersed with fun interactions with the staff, and a special balloon art session by RJ Nathan, we also took a sneak peak into the world of magic.
After appeasing out taste-buds with some delicious grub, we decided to relax and take our shoes off for a fun stomping session.
This was my first stomping session and I thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of squished grapes under my feet, it was so therapeutic, can’t wait for my next stomping session.
Overall if you’re looking at a relaxed Sunday brunch with scrumptious food and a vibrant ambiance, Sheraton would be a great place to head to with your family and friends. They also have a special Grandmother’s Table at Bene, a very interesting concept where everyone sits around, shares stories and celebrates food.
